I'm not talking anything about the dynamics involved in joining two engines at the crank or any other physics nightmare, I'm talking about just the harmonic dampener. All the credible evidence I have found says that it is imperative that you have one. Consider this, every car manufacturer puts one on their engines. These companies who make UD pulleys tell you it is OK. Who are you going to believe first? Who has more money behind them to pay top notch engineers to design and develop things? Look at these websites and read about tortional vibration. It exists and its a real thing. I'm a bit bent out of shape on this issue because from my perspective its as if people are saying gravity isn't real or that it doesn't matter.
